Do you have any anti-intrusion software other than antivirus on that machine ?
Check this list very carefully.

Alienware Notebook
The table below lists Alienware notebook computers that have been tested for upgrade to Windows 10 and tested for Windows 10 November update. If your computer model is not listed, Dell is not testing the device, drivers have not been updated for that model, and Dell does not recommended an upgrade to Windows 10. If you wish to proceed with an upgrade to Windows 10 on an untested system, Microsoft provides information and support for upgrade through their upgrade website.

I do not have any other anti-intrusion other than McAffee, but I do have CCcleaner and skype which were listed in the "Other Applications" list
I do not know how to get anymore information on my model computer, so I also apologize for that.
I will look into the support page for windoes 10, thank you very much for your reply.
Skype is certainly a possiblity.

And CCleaner has a monitoring mode for your PC that gets in the way also, probably why it is listed.
I suggest that you uninstall all those as well as any others on that list that you may have missed, and then reboot, and then verify the game files for all games affected as suggested below....
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
If you want to try the other steps for your antivirus program first (adding exceptions, disabling it), then that is fine but the final test is to temporarily uninstall the program and reboot.
I suggest you pick game that your computer should be able to easily play under normal circumstances, and use these suggestions to test with that game.
Remember, verify game files after a reboot and when you log back into Steam. We will continue to try to help you if that does not correct the issue.
What "may" be happening is McAfee is quarantining the .exe files or other files for the game, or blocking them.
Also, just while we are on the subject of it here, make sure your firewall is allowing Steam and games fully through as exclusions if that is not already taken care of. Thanks again, and post back what you did exactly so we know what to suggest next if more help is needed.
I have ccleaner and skype so long ( many years ) and got 0 problem from any game that cause your problem. Try to uninstal mcaffee first
To Fox15769, I will try reinstalling DirectX, I don't think I tried reinstalling that or getting new drivers for that specific program
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833
Then, go to Nvidia, and download and install the latest GPU drivers.
Are you sure you have no other programs from that list. I suggest that you check very carefully.
You can post screenshots of your programs here if you wish so we can look for possible conflicting software that may not be listed. Use imgur.com and unload the screenshots and post them here if you wish to do that.
Be careful, because as of now you have no antivirus program installed. I suggest at least a good free antivirus to get by with until you get this sorted out. Get one that is not listed on the page that was linked above.
