Some Steam profile says Level 0 and profile is private and was removed from friend list

Hello. I had a friend who was removed from my friend list and when I checked his profile, he was on level 0 and his profile is private. I also checked other groups to see if they are getting this and some are getting this. Looks like a bug to me. Has anyone seen this bug before?

OP, just so you know, all private profiles show as level zero. That is normal.

is it normal for my own profile to be shown to me as private and not let me look at anything related to my account aside from playing my own games?.. or having to repeatedly every 5-10 seconds spam click a tab or my profile pic in the bottom right corner to get my account to be shown as logged in?

What are you talking about and what does that have to do with my comment and this thread topic ?

And if you are "spam clicking" anything, there is one problem right there. Spamming things like that usually just makes it worse.

well i posted my own and it was ignored i guess and this post had some of my issues except it was my own profile showing as private, but basically everytime i try to view my friend list or account activity or read my mail or view my profile it says either this profile is private or doesnt load showing and error and when its doing that my profile pic in the bottom right corner of the steam app shows me as steam level 0, spam clicking a tab or my profile pic will not make anything worse lol... mostly it forces my profile to show up and im allowed to check my stuff if i do it fast enough.

I can see that this is normal. I just lost a friend that I met in OpenRCT2 then. :'(
