yeah i asked him, he said he found the symbol in the steam forums.

I think it's how he typed in his name when setting his profile up. I have seen it before but i don't know exactly how to do it myself. Have you tried googling @OP?

Try using a linebreak or other (invisible) control characters. I think I recall that was doing the trick. No idea on a full how-to, though.
