Consider this - a scammer gets hold of your account through a phishing attempt. They wish to change something or find out some finer personal account details, so they contact support. If support didn't ask for the personal info they asked you, how would they be able to tell the difference?
I get your caution, but this is entirely normal.
If you're going through the actual support ticket system yes.
They already know I've used paypal and have confirmed the bank is attached to it via video call?
It seems very suspicious to me.
Well heck, what can I do from here? I don't think there's a steam support thread for this kind of issue...
Do have you a ticket listed? What's its status? If there's no ticket, then obviously where ever you've ended up is a scam.
For help with purchases use the following link - search for the game, explain the issue and then send the ticket: https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpCompletePackagePurchase
many account related stuff on Steam falls under data protection and most of Steam support can not actually see that data.
if a payment method was used in the past, transaction numbers are enough to verify that you have access to the payment method. other data is not needed.
A friend of mine said he accidentally reported my account. I was told to not log in to it and I dont wish to alert them as of this moment so I can report the account if need be.
As such I dont have the ticket, my friend said I had to speak to the discord account to prove I have legally purchased my games.
Steam does not use Discord and never will. They have their own site. Also, support isn't going to ban you over one random report even if it was real.
Report the account on Discord and Steam. Block. Ignore. Move On.
That is a scam.
I've already given a lot of details to them, and the faq guide doesn't help at all. I have no idea how to proceed from here... any help would be appreciated.

To do account search, fail the email search, then it ask if want to search by account name do that, then click no to everything until get to password page, click I forgot password, then be at the form to fill out to contact support to recover account.
If still have access to account / regain access to account, follow all 5 steps, don't skip any.
Do these steps.
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
Also here some tips to educate you to become more aware of phishing site, and scams.
It isn't a Valve issue. Valve DON'T accept Bitcoin at all.
So you can ignore it comfortably as it's a scam.
What you should ALWAYS do when you suspect a scam and you've given details away 0 ignore them and change passwords etc.
As long as you haven't clicked on any links or such they've given you. If you have then you'll have to do a thorough antivurs and malware scanBEFORE you change those passwords.
Simple rule here in Steam too when you find rule-breakers - report, block, move on.
