Items on hold even with Mobile Authenticator activated
Hi,
I am currently not able to sell my things from the inventory. When I put the up for sale and I confirm them using the mobile app they are still in hold by Steam. I have set up the Mobile Authenticator quite some time ago, still using the same phone and phone number.
Previously I have been able to just sell the items straight away but now they have it on hold.

How do I fix this?

mobile auth has to be enabled for at least 7 days to not cause any holds

resetted/switched phone? then mobile auth was shortly off and has to be active again for at least 7 days.

that number is for the phone number, not for mobile auth. you can add your phone number without having mobile auth.

you receive an email when a mobile authenticator gets added to your account. date and time on that email are accurate.

What color is the shield here, green or gold ?

Because as the good wuddih said, either you switched phones or turned it off and back on again for some reason. And that would trigger a trading and market restriction instead, which is not the same thing as a trade hold.

Because as the good wuddih said, either you switched phones or turned it off and back on again for some reason. And that would trigger a trading and market restriction instead, which is not the same thing as a trade hold.

The shield is green. I guess I'll just have to wait a week.

You did not clarify if you disabled it or not. IF you did, that is actually a trading and market restriction and lasts for 15 days where you cannot trade at all, not a week.

So if you can use the market, this maybe means you transferred it to a new phone instead, and those trade holds last a couple of days, if so.

Without you telling us more specific history with your authenticator as to what you have done with it, we cannot clarify.
