It's not something I want to bother steam support with. I imagine they have enough tickets to go through.
It's just like a rain cloud over my head. It's annoying. Especially as the alert was not actually meant for me in the first place.
The ban was overturned -.-
It doesn't show up in the green messages it shows up next to the announcements button.
EDIT : https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/789737935213391407/A0D37422DF2D0213D91A200FA648FBE544329E05/
This is a picture of it I found in google images.
EDIT 2 : My account wasn't flagged for fraud like the image I linked but I found it to show the big red alert button on the top of the steam app.
The ban was accidental, by the looks of it. Tends to happen when banning thousands of accounts at a time.
Don't post in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spam threads or you may get hit in the ban wave for it.
If the message is not going away, wait 24 hours. If it is still there, then contact support.
I know it was accidental. That's why I said "It was overturned".
I know now for future not to comment.
I only did it because I know there will always be the clueless individuals that will look in these threads and believe it's real.
Either way. I'll give it another 24 hours to see if it disappears.
If not I'll leave a message with steam support.
Unsubscribing from this thread now. thank you for the replies everyone.
any chance for getting my primary account (/id/reboot) unbanned just as friction-free? Looks like It ran into the same trap & I've contacted the support, but have no idea what will happen next.
