The answer's in the thread RIGHT THERE.
I did it on the app.
Go:
‘Account Details’
‘Add funds to your Steam Wallet’
‘Redeem a Steam Gift Card or Wallet Code’
At the very top there’s a white box with a Note next to it. Talks about Steam Prepaid Card issued by WebMoney. Click that and follow the link.
‘Log into Steam’
Click the value of your card, ¥3k or ¥5k.
Write your email (probably for confirmation?)
Write the coupon code.
The funds will be added instantly.
Btw, I just did this yesterday, but haven’t logged on through PC to see if the unlimited account features have started the 30-day countdown.
You can also buy the regular ‘WebMoney’ at convenience stores and use the ¥500/¥1000/¥2500/etc green link boxes on the “add funds” page.
Just select WebMoney when it takes you to the secure page and enter the card details. It’s just a pain in the *ss because, for the ¥2000 card, you need to fill out the “add ¥1000” form twice..
The regular WebMoney definitely doesn’t unlock the unlimited features, so you’ll have to buy a game or something from store worth $5 USD..
Yea, I just wrote mine because the latest (June 28th) was asking about it and someone said they could’ve use the Japanese combini cards. :)
Where can you buy authentic Steam cards in Japan?
