Why won't steam send my payment?
I have earned over 200 dollars on steam. [Edit] (I'm a developer.) So far I've received the same email every month:

Valve didn't send payment this month to _____ because the balance due doesn't meet the minimum payment threshold of $100 USD as of the end of April.

Due to the costs associated with both sending and receiving funds, we don't pay out balances under $100.00 USD.

When I look at my sales report, it says I've earned over 200 dollars, ~$106 of which is rightfully mine. Why do they refuse to send my my money?

Payment Date||Gross Payment||Withholding|.....|Net Payment||Category
December 2018......$49.42.............$(6.29)...........$43.13......Payment not made..$100 Min
January 2019..........$34.68.............$(4.18)...........$30.50......Payment not made..$100 Min
February 2019.........$12.85............$(1.56)...........$11.29.......Payment not made..$100 Min
March 2019.............$3.97...............-.....................$3.97........Payment not made..$100 Min
April 2019................$5.41...............-.....................$5.41........Payment not made..$100 Min

Steam does not pay out balances, so I have no idea what you mean by all of that.

Edit: Maybe never mind. But definitely add more context.

This is the money I earned by selling a game on steam

Are you a developer? C'mon man, use your words. You jump right into your spiel assuming we know all the details and/or most users have published games.

Log into your Steamworks account and join this group...

I see the problem at any rate. You're looking at the gross (because that's the value you like better?)

The net value is under $100. So... I assume that's what they're using to determine when they payout.

Net Payment 43.13 + 30.50 + 11.29 + 3.97 + 5.41 = 94.30

94.30 < 100 which would seem to fit.

Yes, gross is not the same as net.

But all dev related questions are done off the main forums.

Okay that makes sense. I am stunned that they took over 50% of my earnings.
cSg|mc-Hotsauce May 29, 2019 @ 7:01pm
They took $12.04.

Buyers spent 203 dollars total so if I get $94 and steam gets $12 I'd like to know what happens to the rest of the money

that is for taxes. the withholding stuff.
can be credited back from the irs in most cases (partly)

the 30% cut are already off in this list.

where are you getting 203 dollars from?

NET is GROSS minus whatever was withheld.. you earned less than 100 dollars if you add the NET up ..

They did not take half the money.

the $203 figure is from my steamworks account. just doesnt appear in that chart.
The game cost between $2.50 and $5 (depending on sales events) and sold 69 copies so thats at minimum, $172 total revenue. though it actually made $203

Does Steam account for money made in past months? Like if you make $80 one month then $60 the next, will they withhold both since they weren’t above $100 or will they pay you after the second month?
