Steam Wallet Code Scam? codashop.net SEA Indonesia
]Hi, sorry for the long post.

Just yesterday i bought Steam Wallet Code from Codashop Indonesia. (https://www.codashop.net)
Which is listed as authorized reseller of steam wallet code on e-clubstore, SEA region, Country: Indonesia.

The whole process is easily done until i got my code from the shop via email, which took less than 10 minutes.

Sadly the unexpected happened when redeeming the code, it said that "The Steam Wallet code you have entered has already been redeemed. Steam Support is unable to issue you a new code.[/u]"

Sent a complaint email to codashop support [support@codapayments.com], 4 hours later the support team replied, it said that steam currently having some kind of server problem that disrupts the code redeeming process and told me to contact steam support team regarding damaged code.

And i did ask for help from steam support as coda support told me to, and awaiting steam to reply my message.
Tbh, this waiting part made me feel like a scam victim.

The main question is:
Do this kind of thing (code already redeemed) ever been occurred to fellow steam wallet code purchaser? especially in SEA region, codashop.
If so, did u ask for help from steam? or just the seller only?
Can u redeem your purchased code in the end?

Steam is not having issues. It simply means that the code you were given has already been activated. You have reported a problem that I saw another person who claimed they purchased a code from this website was having. Dealing with the seller is the only way to resolve this.

Steam can only help with physical gift cards, not with codes. i bet they simply wanted to divert your attention to anything else but them.

No. That sounds like something that "Support members" of scammed sites also say. They tell you to do things that they know are not possible.

So in nutshell, the digital code scam model is:
Seller buy physical gift card/code from retailer, then the seller selling the used gift card code or "digital code" to consumer. The consumer doesnt get any scans/proof of the physical gift card from seller when he/she bought the digital code.

I should've just buy a gift card instead of digital code then. from now on.
