Missing game files even after checking them
I downloaded two game this weekend, Arma 2 and OA. Both though were having issues so I ran an integrity check on both and sure enough they were missing files. So after I re downloaded the files, issues still persisted. Checked again and the same files were missing. So I've tried re-downloading them numerous times and tried reinstalling them including steam, with no prevail. I have tried to download them on another hard drive but the same issues are happening. Does any one know how to fix this?

You need to fix the problem that causes the files to need to be validated first, as otherwise, they just get borked up again.

Post screenshots of ALL of your installed programs on that computer.

Check msconfig for a process called AMD External Events Utility. It can possibly conflict with Steam, as you have AMD software there.

CCleaner (monitoring mode should be disabled)
qBitTorrent
Skype

All on the list here.

And I don't even see an antivirus, so did you mean Windows Defender above ? Is that what you disabled ?

I would first uninstall qBitTorrent, restart your computer, then verify the game files again. Then, see if that works.

If not, move on to uninstalling the others. AMD External Events Utility should also be checked for, in msconfig under Services or Startup tab.
Verify will usually load files.
Doesnt mean they are missing.

What happens with the games?

This is normal for those two games. Your problem is something else.

Yah I probably should of mentioned that. I ran the check because when running the DayZ mod for the games, it would give me an error saying that I was missing certain files. Did some research and the files missing were in the main game so thats when I ran the check. The check says i'm missing 31 files in Arma II and 1 file in OA.

What exactly did you mean when you said this ?

What "issues" ? Give details, please.
Ask or read in the games forum.
If i remember right, you needed a tool to get files.

What I mean is, the DayZ mod for the two games, crashes because I am missing files or files are corrupt in the main two games which are Arma II and OA. I ran the verify cache and I reinstalled on two different drives to see if i could get the 31 missing files. But they are are installing even after downloading it. It's a 300MB download everytime.

As in crashing to desktop when trying to load a mission.

Are you trying to install them to internal drives or external drives ?

Internal. I have a 120Gig SSD and 500Gig HDD. Thought the HDD might be bad but the exact same problem occurs on the SSD.

What about what I covered above concerning the problematic software ?

I would suspect qBitTorrent first and foremost. You don't seem to have replied to my post above concerning that list, or what antivirus you were using when you said you disabled the antivirus.

You don't seem to have replied to any of that.
