How to add uplay games in my steam library.
I know that I can add a non-steam game in my steam desktop client library. Is there a way to permanently add a uplay game (which I bought from ubisoft store) in my steam library without buying it from steam?

Nope, there is no function to do that, you'll have to buy those games on Steam if they are in the store (for now).

You can buy them second time if they are available on steam

you can't add a uplay game to steam unless you've bought it from steam

but you can add uplay to become a "non-steam game" in your library and then you will get the steam overlay in all uplay game you have, it work on origin and battle.net too

if you had uplay/origin/battle.net as a non-steam game, you should add many of them with the game you're playing (see my profile's screenshot game list to see what i'm talking about) to filter the possible screenshot you'll take

Think of it as the equivalent of purchasing a game for xbox but wanting to play it on playstation.

Thank you all. I was just wondering if it was possible.

Umm... I'm not sure if this was just added after you guys answered or what, but you CAN add them by redeeming the CD key if it has one.

If it does but less than likely it will not activate.

Since it's actually the exact same product/program it's more like buying a car to drive on American roads then wan'ting to drive it in Canada...

Roads are not stores. Spending money in one store doesn't obligate the owners of another store to accomodate you for free.

Just use the "Add non steam game" option. I do this with all my Uplay games. click it then browse to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\" (or wherever your lib is) and add it. Did the same for my blizzard and origin games too.

If you read the OP he already knew that and that was not what he asked.

I thought he wanted to add a uplay game to his library, I see no mention that he already knew how to do this, at least thats what it says, so I told him how to do it instead of just saying impossible.
