You can typicaly add the filte to the filter of you AV program. Also contacting them and sending them the file will allow them to confirm it and fix their AV software.
You will have to ask that in the forums of your AV program. It is diffrent for every program and company.
Correct. It is a false positive. AV programs use an algorithm to detect a possible virus. Sometimes these are wrong and they flag good files.
this game?
that is safe, it is just very old and may contain parts that are on some detections lists because other malicious software uses those parts or the heuristics of your AV detect abnormal behavior, which is quite normal for such old stuff.
i would recommend you to change your AV but since you are new to PC, everything is better then nothing.
I wouldn't change AV due to a false positive. Every AV gets them now and then.
