You mean moderators can't do mass deletion or they can't recover deleted posts? Still isn't it strange that such an issue occured immediately after community moderation message?
Well, right, mainly i've bothered to search for my post because of that extremely unspecificcommunity moderation message, though i would notice that anyway later because of bug report threads at least.
We can't do mass deletions and there is a limit to what we can restore (forum posts only).
The messge was not from a moderator. It even says "Content you have posted has been removed by a member of Steam Support for breaking the Steam Community Rules and Guidelines."
To me, its a wait-and-see approach and that's about it.
Most of the time, the people who ask these questions usually don't come back to give an update and I think, if they did, the forum response would be "who are you? and why should I care?"
I've found the Steam Community has the attention span of a flea and a memory to match and each question or issue is somewhat unique or just part of a ongoing glitch that happens in the Matrix. I usually accept this, remember it and move on.
At any rate, I hope you find some decent answers to your question about this. If not, well just remember it and if other people ask about this similar issue, you can share your previous experience with them.
Okay, thank you everyone for your answers, now i'll just wait.
I'll try to update this thread when(if) i get Support answer, just so anyone curious would have more answers if that issue happens again with somebody.
Support answer:
So i was right from the start, i'm just a victim, Steam moderation GUI must be a mess.
Okay, so i got an apology, i won't get my posts back, but i still demand Steam/Valve to take action to prevent similar mistakes in the future. I'm not a spamer but i won't report anything to moderators as long as those things may happen. And you should also remember - reporting spam might get YOU in trouble, for crying out loud! You can't be a good Steam citizen while this issue is not fixed, forget about report button.
While Inattentiveness when mass-deleting someone's posts is absolutely unacceptable, i don't hold grudge on that support member, GUI must really be a mess, 'cause like i said - this happened before at least twice, only in a steam group scale.
So, where should i create a topic to force Valve to fix their GUI to prevent this happening in the future and making sure they do listen?
1) They do that mistake.
2) They are able to do that mistake likely due to GUI.
3) They didn't notice their mistake.
4) They can't even rollback their mistake!!
5) They didn't answer to community moderation message comments and i had to create a ticket and wait since 14th of Jan(16 days).
And of course this mistake is likely to happen again, that's the worst. So i let spammers roam the seas of Steam freely.
About how it's possible - ask any admin/moderator of any Steam group. I have one of those in my contacts, another moderator from his group has banned me long time ago because of the same mistake - i reported a spammer and he misclicked. I may ask if needed.
