Verifying installation every time I start Steam

I am assuming this is normal behavior, but I have to ask why, since before it never needed to do this or didn't do it.

nope, that is not normal behavior and is most likely cause by wrong file permissions due to borked windows updates or a an antivirus software blocking files to be written/modified.

do you also have problems on game installations and updates?

I don't do Windows Updates. MSE has never caused this before. Games install and update fine. This is 100% a Steam problem.

Bumping this because I have the same problem. I tried using regular steam as well as the beta version. No luck. Even if i close down steam properly and start it back up I still have to go through that long process. It's very annoying. All games install and run perfectly. It's just starting up steam that seems to be messed up.

Try restarting your PC, re-launch Steam. Does it appear?

Close down Steam, restart Steam again without restarting the PC. It won't appear. Correct?

haha, well i am not on best terms with steam and valve, given how they operate, as expected i'm blocked out of steam again because of their Summer Feces nonsense

like when this Dung began i cant connect with pc client AT ALL, i think it should be working again in 1-2 days

Incorrect, it appears for me every time. It used to only appear if I shut down the computer before closing steam but now even that doesn't matter.
