Windows 12?
looking at how people are raving about steam ending support for win 7 ive decided to upgrade from win10. while looking up stuff about win11, ive found several articles about win 12 becoming available in march of this year, and even sereval links to download win12 ISO file. so id like to ask: is this legit? is it safe? or should i just upgrade to win11 and stop being a moron?

Microsoft hasn’t mentioned anything official about Windows 12 as of yet. If anybody is inviting you to “try” some mysterious copy of Windows 12, then that would be a red flag of some kind of malware in whatever software you are downloading or website you are visiting. You may get infected by some nasty trojan software that tries to steal personal details or sets up some ransomware, or whatever else.

I would recommend sticking with Windows 10 or 11 for now, then jump into Windows 12 after Microsoft themselves invite people to upgrade. Hope this helps :happy_yeti:

Windows 12 isn't out yet. the ISOs that you have found were likely the Windows Insider ISOs which are the dev builds.

I wouldn't suggest installing those at all as a daily driver. stick with official installations.

Judging by some leaked/teaser screenshots, it looks like the transition into looking like MacOS is going well, first all the icons in the panel (taskbar) were centered with MS Windows 11, now the panel (taskbar) itself will be floating and not maximized, and there's going to be an additional panel on the top with the system tray to the top right. :lunar2019laughingpig:

Of course the old granny (Windows 95 API) still lives underneath, just the makeup is different every couple of years.

For that release I'm going to grab a lot of popcorn while reading MS Windows' fanbois reactions (and excuses). :lunar2019laughingpig:

There is no Windows 12 yet no; just Rumours that there maybe hints to a build for Windows 12 on the preview branch somewhere.
I expect Windows 12 to become tested at the end of this year or next year due to the hints.

I assume Windows 12 will incorporate ChatGPT into the OS somehow, probably through Cortana. You'd basically get Clippy back or something. xd

There is plenty of lack of trust in MS when it comes to privacy already. Adding a bot whose job it is to learn from its uses to all of windows is going to do the opposite of help with the trust issues.

already testing "new" cortana and i am ready for ai to take over. so sick of braindead fleshbags.
