Hover over Store, click stats. Not too hard to find.

I agree. It should be added back to the store drop down menu after you select the hamburger icon in the bottom right.

Don't bother you to look for statistics
Search for reviews for the products that interest you on specialized sites, sales data distort reality
These statistics are as useless.
Considering

The Sales data are all fake.
Sales data are exaggerated when Valve has to sell a particular game for advertising fee.

It's not believable that a game in 100th place is first in the rankings the next day just because its advertisement appeared on the front page of the store.

There wasn't enough time for the players to do so much shopping.

Don't trust steam stats, they're a sales and promotional tool; which works only thanks to the advertising tax that publishers pay to VALVe.
