If I get banned on a game can i gift the game to another account?

I got banned on Rust because a guy hacked my account so i got banned of the full game but can i gift the game to a different account like for a friend or smth?

If you are banned in the game, why would you purchase it for a friend? It makes absolutely no sense.

I meant hacked my bad but i got hacked for like 2 days cause i wasnt on steam that long

If yu are trying to buy it for an alt account, they will find out and ban the alt too.

If you have a game/vac ban on a product, you can no longer gift it to others and by that I mean a new purchase, not games already on your account, that is not possible anyway, ban or not.
Also, if you get vac/game banned after gifting a product, the recipient will also be unable to gift that product.

Of course not. That would really kneecap the consequences for cheating.

Account security is your responsibility. If you lost control of your account it's almost certainly due to recklessness or carelessness on your part. Either way the ban isn't against the player, it's against the account that was cheating, which is yours. Keep your account secure and that won't happen.

I am not aware of any restriction of gifting a game you have been banned on, with the exception of CS:GO.

Though it seems VAC bans may be like that.

Game bans don't seem to have said restriction though, as far as I can tell, as there is no mention of it on the game ban FAQ.

You can always try. Worst case, it will simply not allow the gifting of the game.

If your talking about buying ANOTHER copy to gift then like Spawn of Totoro said it should allow it.

If your referring to gifting the copy you already activated and got banned on you cannot gift any games you own.
