They aren't getting banned for bad reviews, they are getting banned for leaving fradulent fake reviews and/or reviews that violate steam's rules.
Such as using reviews to attack the publisher accusing them of illegal activity, cursing them out, etc without ever actually discussing the game
Kinda like your posts on the Fallout 76 forums......

From what I have found, several Fallout 76/1st reviews were accidentally banned.
When a review is banned, the users who upvoted it get that message to let them know their account may have been used to fraudulently upvote something as often happens with scammers/phishers to upvote their scam links, using hijacked accounts.
As the reviews were restored, users who received the e-mail should have the ban removed as well.
Ok well Bethesda has done some questionable things, grated most of those are not directly apart of the game. One notable example I can think of was the Canvas Bag, people gave them money with a expectation that they would get what they were shown. they failed to deliver to the vast majority. They did actually make the bag, but only for people that helped them influence the game. They attempted to fix the situation but that ended up with a lot of people getting Doxed, I feel like that is borderline illegal. And then the refund policy that they have, I'll admit I have no proof but from what I hear its seems vary illegal.
EVERYTHING ABOVE IS GOING OFF OF WHAT I HAVE HEARD FROM DIFFERENT SOURCES, SOME MAY OR MAY NOT BE CORRECT, AS SUCH THE INFORMATION ABOVE MAY BE WRONG
because everything has to be taken seriously....
Clearly your a fan of the game I'm sorry if your offended that people don't like it, but you don't need to get personal about it. It is possible to like something and not go after people that disagree. My comment is a joke and I thought it was clear that it was. I was not attempting to spread misinformation, I was not trying to harm anyone, it was intended to be a joke, and nothing more. I'll even break it down for you:
I was referring to said 'people' as if they were people, as far as I am aware there is no real human being named "Valve" or "Bethesda" so that in of it self is nonsense.
I also said something completely absurd. so that is also nonsense.
I did mention I was surprised that they would let this on there platform, well yes I am surprised because of the stuff mentioned above and how by comparison other games have fewer issues than this and still get rejected from there platform. since you seem to want to stalk people I'll let you go on and find that one, it should be somewhat easy.
People have a right to free speech, even if it is wrong. I don't believe you should be punished for it...
Also no games are rejected from steam for having issues. Anyone can release a game on steam no matter how crappy they want to make it.
Also their refund policy is not illegal, and again has nothing to do with a release on steam.
So your basically showing exactly why some reviews get banned as none of what you described is true or is related to the game on steam.
That isn't being doxxed, there was a small leak that exposed non critical info related to support tickets.
The same thing that has happened before on steam and basically every website in the world.
Its simply a case of a large amount of reviews piling in at once with a sizeable chunk having issues that get them correctly flagged and the system also catching similar ones that aren't a problem because its still too dumb to know better.
Which again has nothing to do with steam or the game, hence why negative reviews about that occuring would be against steams rules.
It would be like if someone gave every game on steam a negative review because steam had a worse data breach in the past.....
No it doesn't. Again by your logic since steam has had a data breach you could give every game on steam a negative review because you had to give your details to buy the game.......
Steam reviews are about the stage of the game itself, it's not a review about a product that isn't even SOLD on steam, nor is it about a product that hasn't even been sold for a year and a half .....
