TBA vs Coming soon?
What is the difference between "To be announced" and "Coming soon" on unreleased games?
Both have no exact info about release. Why is this two version existed then?
Is "Coming soon" possible have closer release time?

TBA means To Be Announced, which means the devs are not sure when they want or plan to release yet.
Coming Soon, means that they plan on releasing soon, but are not sure on a specific date.

TBA and coming soon have no real difference in release time. The last "coming soon" game on Steam currently has a release date set of around December 2100.

Edited post to remove outdated information. It looks like devs can no longer put silly comments in the release date box.

It sucks and all because a group of whiners don’t know what words mean :/

This sound to most reliable answer.
Thanks

As with most things in English, there is more than one way to say the same thing.
Because, in English, you can tell people identical information in a variety of manners.

Soon means less than an hour IMO. If I'll get food soon by game dev standards I'd be dead long before I eat.

Coming Soon™ can mean any time between now and the heat death of the universe. :wizorbwink:

TBA = They are interested in providing you Information about something
that you only know the name of, basically something that hasn't been out yet...

Coming Soon = Something you already know about is about to arive very soon...

This has to be a Bait Thread...

It is not, just a simple question.

there is no difference.
both mean "we have nothing to tell you".

there is no deeper or more specific meaning to them.
both are used interchangeably since games exist.

as others already provided first hand evidence, the word "soon" enables some weird brain tunnels that throw some mental gymnastics to make the interpreter of the word expect it to be short.
they may even be correct, the definition of "soon" literally is "in a short time".

thing is...
neither "short" nor "soon" have specific time definitions and are context related and there is no context in releasing video games.

if historical evidence presented one thing, it is: "soon" is not the "soon" you think it is.

even if you put times onto something ...

both can take forever, so it doesn't really matter
