Why far cry 6 still not on steam? (EDIT) far cry 6 is now on steam!
All other recent Ubisoft games have returned to steam except far cry 6, why? Any official reason? It's the only title I'm interested in from Ubisoft, and I haven't even played any Ubisoft game since I got ass creed unity from Nvidia.

They've put out The Division 2, Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Watch Dogs Legion in January alone. Riders Republic and Far Cry 6 should be coming soon.

It will be. Just be patient. I think it will come out in Q2 or Q3 this year...unless it is a epic/ubisoft exclusive.

It’s because they still have good revenues selling FC6 and their recent games on other platforms. They are just putting on steam the games that have no more revenues (more than 2 years old). This is all money matters. Remember, Ubisoft just stopped putting their games on steam because Steam revenues shares are higher that other platforms. If I’m correct, we will not see the next Assassins creed in steam this year neither. But all those games will come later in the future. When they will not sell well on other platforms. I hope that I’m wrong, as I have a steam deck, I prefer paying my games in Steam tbh. Let’s wait & see.

that explanation doesn't work when you see Valhalla is being sold on steam... well unless Valhalla is somehow selling worse than fc6...

They take the deals from Epic then Epic gets low sales because most will just buy it from Ubisoft instead. After low sales they come crawling back to steam and have to sell at a reduced price because of the shenanigans listed above.

So basically Ubi gets a double dip to start with but way less sales and then gets less money in the end from not selling on Steam to start with.

Far cry 6 will be on Steam shortly I would imagine. Ubisoft has been losing money.

The only explanation there is, and that you need, is that it is solely Ubisoft's decision where and when to sell their games. That's the long and short of it. It doesn't matter where or what they are doing with their other games. Ubisoft makes the business decisions that they make. Making posts on forums isn't going to change that.

I don't see an official answer from that thread.

It's literally in the first post in the thread:

>Why Far Cry 6 Isn't Available On Steam

>Ubisoft's upcoming game Far Cry 6 will not be releasing on Steam, though it can still be purchased on PC through various other outlets. Here's why.
