Achievement hacker tool

I need to get into contact with a dev or something. I found a tool online that lets me unlock any achievement I want. Its broken and it ruins the point of achievements. I can open achievements that are close to impossible to get in game. Can someone get me a way to contact a developer or something? I used the tool on tf2 and bioshock infinite and now they are both 100% completed. I dont want to break the system in that way. I can send whatever files and screenshots are needed. I just dont want my account to be banned.

Steam Achievement Manager is a known tool. Valve knows about it.

You won't get a ban from Valve.

Some game devs will ban you from their game or forums since it may unlock in game items for said game.

Steam Achievement Manager (SAM) is a well known "tool", and Valve doesn't care about people cheating achievements.

same kind of tools exist for ps trophies and xbox achievements .. just in case you find them 10 year later.

two things said...
manually altering(lock and unlock) the achievement status without the game doing might break some achievement logic.
and also some games have bound in-game content/items to achievements and some might flag this as cheating and hand out game bans, payday devs do/did that.

Just ensure that you're downloading the correct tool and not some malware / crapware.

Its been known for years,
Steam achievements isnt that necessary though unless you happen too lazy or the achievement was way too dumb to get.

In other words its a good thing that exist but also bad at the same time.

This tool has been known for many, many years, Valve will not ban users that use it and it has its use in more ways than just unlocking achievements like locking them all for those that want to get 100% again that don't have this feature ingame or a family share option, to get an achievement a dev is not willing to fix, ect.

Achievements only have value to the user, be happy with your non cheated achievements on top of that there are achievement games that give hundreds of fake achievements.

As said there are some game devs that ban users from certain in game functions for using but other than that move on.

use astats (for example) for achievement tracking. They ban those cheaters if discovered (may take some time though, everyone can help by pointing out possible achievement hackers in their forum so they're getting looked at). If I want to validate someones achievements, I just check if he's banned or hidden on astats. If he is, then one can safely ignore his cheated achievements and stats and move on.
If you want to use such a tool to get achievements that way, just be aware that you will only loose credibility and get banned on achievement sites like astats. Also everyone can easily check your stats and see that you cheated. So think twice before using such methods.

If you only used such tool once and you know which games you cheated, you may want to revert the cheat by locking everything again. If you already got banned on astats, you may be able to make an appeal in that case. Just be nice and don't cheat (again).

This Tool was most likely not intended to Unlock Achievements or Trophies
for Games already Existing on our Lists...

I think it was created for things like...

You draw a picture in Paint, give yourself an Achievement,
you won a Tournament Game of MK11 against your friends,
give the Winner an Achievement...

Things like that, you make them up, but you can also use them as
Rewards for winning Online Games, like ARENA's TOURNAMENTS,
Things like that with friends? ^_-


But if people are misusing it to Unlock real Achievements,
that is a good reason to have something interesting being taken
advantage of, & taken away from us, punishing us for someone
else's abuse for a product, which would really suck... :(

SAM (if the OP even meant that) is also functionally an idler.

THE MAIN reason why it was created is to tweak achievement stats, though.

None of that has anything to do with SAM and SAM doesn't even remotely function like that.

Well it's still something more of a trophy.
Something to be pride about and ofc to some people it is pointless as there is not much value from it,
Well it does serves as a guide in some case to see progress the user made so far in game.
