Steam hour Idleing
I know you can idle multiple games at the same time, But ive seen accounts with over 8k hours on cs-go and such and i know they idled because they told me. I thought there is no way they idled for over a year. Is there a way to idle the same game over and over. Like you have 10 versions on the game open and for every hour you get 10 hours?

You can use idling apps that idle it non-stop.

In general only one person can be logged into an account, and in general only one instance of Steam can be running, and in general only on game can be running at a time.

Hard to say offhand what anyone is doing, but whatever it is it would almost certainly be a violation of the user agreement. So tread carefully.

Also CS:go is nearly 8 years old, ~ 70,000 hours, so 8,000 hours from idling doesn't seem that crazy to me.

1 hour is 1 hour idling the same game over and over i know a program it doesn't work 1 hour is still 1 hour it counts as the same game adding it multiple times doesn't change time

why do people waste their time on comparing time played or other user stats? maybe I don't get it, but does it makes you feel better if someone has less time wasted in mindless game, or vice versa?
I never tried idling 1 game multiple times and dont know if it works. (I can try later).

I don't get it either, if anything I'm somewhat embarrassed about having tons of hours in a game. I think some people who hack/cheat in online games might do it to look less suspicious, but in general, you can tell when someone isn't good enough (doesn't have the mechanics or game knowledge) to legitimately have the amount of hours they show on their profile, so it ends up just making them look worse to anyone who isn't a newer player.

I just like getting the random comments about the game time played lol, I think I have like 18 years worth of hours and I've only been on Steam for a year... I also get the occasional person calling me a low life because of how many hours I have, not thinking that it can't be possible to play that much in 1 year.

Yes, Yes, No.

The way card-idling bots work is by idling ALL your games (that still have card drops) until they reach the minimum time required to actually produce cards, then change to idling just one game (because card drops are heavily penalized if multiple games are running).

tested. does not really work anymore.
5 x 5min = 5min

Source? Because I am always doing them all at once and there is no noticable penalty

the drop timers go bonkers.
default droptimer per drop is 30 minutes (can be changed by dev though to something else)
if multiple games are running this is no longer 30 minutes anymore. it gets longer the more games are running.

what program are you using?

Idle Master
EDIT:
In Fast Mode which idles all games simultaneously and every 15 minutes it launches and quits every game on its own and then goes back into idling simultaneously

the original idle master never had any fast mode and i am pretty sure i have seen a post from him where he did not wanna implement it.
if you use the extended fork .. that is not idling multiple games at the same time ... it is idling multiple games at the same time and then spam switching individual games to trigger drops.

here is the thing with this: this is not conform with service morals and your friendslist must love it.
other established tools do not support this on purpose:
