you need the trading card's from game's. you can get them from playing the game but are limited to like around 3 or so and the card's are randomized, trading, or buying them from the community market they're like a few cent's a card except for the foil's those can reach a few dollar's

If you have a card, turn it into gems and you'll get 100xp (but only once), do steam community tasks for more xp, I think that's enough for at least a couple levels

the community badge alone is 500xp on completion.
hint: that is level 5.

For you right now
upload a screenshot from a game
add a random youtube video to your video section
go in game, open steam overlay, and view a guide for that game
use the search function in the steam forums
extra: craft a badge from steam trading cards, some are only a few cents
