Comparison of game prices: Russia VS Latvia
Greetings!

How can I write a letter to the Steam Support by e-mail? There are a lot of problems that are not listed in the Steam Support.
That's one of the main problems...

Over the long years of using Steam, I noticed an unfair system of prices for games depending on the country of residence.
For example, I am from Latvia, and the prices for games are much higher than in Russia. This is very strange, because in Latvia the living conditions are worse and salaries are lower than in Russia.
I will say more, when I lived in United Kingdom, the prices there were the same or slightly cheaper than in Latvia.
What does it depend on?

Several comparisons of prices for games in Russia and Latvia:

Wolfenstein: The New Order
Russia: 499 RUB = 7.34 EUR
Latvia: 9.99 EUR

Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor™
Russia: 179 RUB = 2.63 EUR
Latvia: 3.99 EUR

Sid Meier's Civilization V: Complete
Russia: 268 RUB = 3.94 EUR
Latvia: 11.26 EUR

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen - 359 руб.
Russia: 359 RUB = 5.28 EUR
Latvia: 11.99 EUR

Mark of the Ninja: Special Edition
Russia: 97 RUB = 1.42 EUR
Latvia: 4.49 EUR

Such a spread of prices is absolutely for all games.
Where is the logic?

its the games studios that set the price for their games, not Valve (unless of course its one of Valves games)

This.

Prices are set by the game's devleoper and/or publisher. Valve only sets prices for the games they make.

russia has their own steam store with their own prices in rubles set by the devs/pubs.

latvia does not have their own steam store for their currency and again the devs/pubs set the prices for their store.

latvia has their own steam store for their own currency. their currency is european supreme gold nuggets, also called euro.

it is just that they are poor, they were one of the countries that were in euro tier 3 zone ... when Steam still had different euro prices.

Logic is that Latvia in EU region and Russia in RU. They always have low prices. Many games are 50 - 70% cheaper than in EU. Dynasty Warrior 8 for example, cost 14.99 euros in EU with discount. In Russia price is around 4 euros.
I can tell you that living conditions are crap in many countries. Problem is that no one cares. They could have add another region for poor countries, like EU2. At the moment we have to deal with it.

we already had 4 different eurozones for pricing at one point. end of the story is, we now have just one. everyone has access to enough alternative stores to buy their steam games at.

Since the EU is actively working on establishing a single digital market, this is a question/issue to push with our European MPs.
Holy crap I thought for a second you were saying:
In Russia game costs 7.89
In Latvia game costs 9.99
In Middle Earth it costs a hobbit, an elf's head and a stuffed Orc.

Damnit I have to stop ghost-reading through whole walls of text.
