Is it legal?
There game there rules. If you want a final answer, you need to go to the court.
This is going nowhere. If the devs abuse there rights, report them.
And time to leave this thread, you`ve your answer.
Typically, if you are paying a monthly subscription, then they stop said subscription when they terminate your account. Some may even refund the subscription (or a portion there of), but that is on the developer/publisher.
Just because someone pays a monthly subscription, does not make them immune to being banned or having their account terminated. Even World of Warcraft bans and/or terminates accounts.
If they ban you or terminate your account and keep charging you for the new subscription (monthly, 6 month, yearly, ect), then there is an issue and you should contact the bank, but until that point, yes, they can ban you or terminate your account for any reason.
Keep in mind that you can also cancel the subscription if it appears they have not.
They have a right to refuse service, just as any other store has.
And if a developer was threatening to ban me for no reason, I would have canceled the subscription and stopped playing the game long before this point.
Keep in mind this is all based on generic assumptions and agreements and what not.
