Steam removed Elder Scrolls Online from my library
I removed ESO from my library a few weeks ago when I read about red-shell.

Today I got a message saying my subscription has expired and the game has been removed from my lirbary.

Well, Steam already collects analytics, which I'm not happy about, but to remove a free to play game from my library, a game on which I had spent about £100 on...oh dear, not good.

I would get rid of and avoid steam. Sadly it is required for my VR and the fact some games can only be obtained through Steam.

The steam monopoly should really be questioned.

Maybe its your own comprehension of reality that you need to question as by your own words Steam just did what you asked them to do.

Which is it?
Also: Elder Scrolls Online is not and has not been free to play.

Install it again?
All free to play games are removedfrom library unless you paid for DLC. You can still install it from the store page. Since this particular game is server based anyway you don't lose any progress.

Also, who removed the game? First sentence said you did it yourself. So what os the problem?

There is also a certain irony in the fact that you want Steams 'monopoly' to be questioned while using (or having used) Steam for a game that has its own launcher and can be bought and played without using Steam at all.

that is an active subscription game for the plus membership, of course it will be removed from your account when the subscription runs out. dunno where the issue is. you can simply renew the subscription and continue to play that game.
I have the same problem steam also removed it from my library and i can no longer find Skyrim Online on steam anymore. I didnt get money back so this is a bad issue.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
