Is Spyro An Artisan?

Considering how in the first game, Spyro starts out in the Artisan world, and the end credits scene shows him working (perhaps apprenticing) with a bunch of different Artisan dragons, it seems like we can assume that Spyro is a member of the Artisans caste of dragons?

He lives in Stone Hill, which is part of the Artisan Homeworld, but we don't really know much about the lore regarding this. For example, in Spyro 3 the Dragon Eggs we are recovering are all also from Stone Hill, but it's not elaborated on if they are all Artisan Eggs or if dragons of the other lands entrust the Artisans to look after their eggs until they hatch, or perhaps even raise them after. We also never see any female dragons throughout the original trilogy, so it's unclear where the eggs actually come from to begin with.

If I had to guess based on his design compared to other dragons in the remake though, he could be an Artisans, Peace Keepers, or Beast Makers dragon. Artisans does seem the most likely though.

According to the Egyptian level in Year of the Dragon, it takes dragons about 10 years to produce a single egg.

I think the reason why we never see any female dragons, might be because the original trilogy was pretty much setting up Elora to be the love interest, and giving Spyro a girl from his own species may have interfered with that.
