Flying Levels have Inverted Controls?
Just entered the first flying level in game 1 world 1, the up and down are inverted and its annoying as all hell, even have the inverted flying setting turned off in my settings, is there a fix for this?

Cant find any options to change this, even looking at the PS4 forums about it. RIP

Im sorry there isnt an option for this. And this being a port, it seems unlikely that it will be added in the future.

I actually use both types. I aim third person shooters with normal but fly planes with inverted.
You can get used to it easily once u get the concept behind inverted controls.

Just imagine you stick a lever in spyros ass or on his back. When you want him to fly up, his head tilts up and his body pivots and rotates backwards. And when you want him to point his head down, his body pivots forwards.

Hopefully u can still play with these controls while you wait and hope they add in the extra option.

"Invert Mouse Y for Flying: OFF" works for me. Used for Worlds 2-4.

Yep they had inverted controls in the original as well. Those controls actually work better than not inverted controls in flying stages.

I'm not gonna debate which is right/wrong, but most games offer an option because choice is nice and its usually a love one hate the other kind of thing. Personally I used to use inverted but I swapped over to normal years ago and now inverted makes my head hurt.

Invert mouse for flying is only with the mouse, I'd rather fly using my controller and perhaps sometimes WASD

No matter which one I choose, it just flip them all the time during a level if I use the mouse.

Total joke!

You can switch the keys for up/down for the flight levels. It's cumbersome to rebind keys every time you enter or leave a flight level, but better than nothing. The time constraints for the "All in One" condition can be pretty tight, so it's important to be comfortable with the controls.

For me, they just switch randomly from non inverted to inverted lol!

Flying controls are generally inverted because you pull the stick in(down) to go up and push the stick out(up) to go down, that's why you always hear "pull up." So most games simulate that with the controls.

I'm not going to judge whether you prefer that or not, I use the default inverted flying pitch 90% the time because it makes sense to me, but I never use inverted pitch for aiming whether its fps, something like a turret, or camera controls, and if you invert those then you're an animal. :)

Inverted controls for flying are actually really common... honestly NOT having inverted controls fr that and camera mess me up because to me that is just as standard as using A or X to jump in most platformers but not being able to change it when the option is there is weird

You said that _mouse controls_ switch from non-inverted to inverted during play. That's why I was talking about keybindings instead. Are you saying that your _keybindings_ switch randomly too? That seems impossible since the game has no way of knowing what your keybindings were, even if it _does_ switch to default controls at some point, so it wouldn't be able to randomly switch back to your manually entered bindings.

I don't want to avoid using the mouse because of a bug lol.

Well, that makes no sense in the context of your previous reply - I was clearly talking about keybindings, and you literally replied that "they switch randomly" for you. If you're not interested in using keyboard controls, then why claim that they "switch"? But anyway, I don't think this is worth further discussion. Take care.

I just dislike how its not inverted til you get into a certain mode then it is and that there is no options, I dislike inverted and idm if you do or dont but you gotta agree, there should be an option in the game... especially in 2019
