Once you use Sparx to find gems, your brain will shut down. Each time you'll miss a gem, you won't gosearch for it, because you know Sparx can find it for you.
It doesn't ruin the game. It actually makes it better having it as an option. It still doesn't point towards the extra stuff like Cogs in levels or the hidden stump etc. So it is a good intermediary feature.
If you find looking around on a map forever for that one gem you missed 'ruining a game" be my guest. But also know you're being kinda pretentious.
Sorry but no. There are some gems that are basically invisible in some of the foliage. Stop being so pretentious because someone missed.... yes missed a gem in a weird corner or grass. Honestly... get over yourself
There's some little areas the devs basically pulled an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ putting gems in so it has little to do with exploring properly.
Like the fact Cliff City expects you take a leap of faith to a ledge BEHIND the building you start in from the final area to get to like 30-something of the levels gems.
Everyone enjoys their entertainment in different ways. There's no right or wrong way to use Sparx. None of us needs to conform to what anyone else believes. Enjoy the game!
