[Beta 2] Suggestion - Mission filter?
This is potentially controversial (probably more so than my norm :steammocking:) ... and potentially game breaking ... but here goes ...

In "Normal" mode we have the gear icon to disable (filter out) certain mission types from being offered (e.g. I never do cargo runs).

Perhaps consider the viability of a similar system in Station mode. I'm not interested in "Pirate Raid" missions (the payout is money which isn't all that useful) ... or "Assistance with a mission" (that's just an NPC and a derelict and I can get those missions without leaving home). I'm sure each player has their preferences.

It would be "nice" if we could turn off mission types we're just not interested in. On the positive side - this would it filter out some of things making the game feel super fast/busy (and a lot of the "clutter" on the star map).

On the negative side - some of those missions are integral to what's happening. Take for example pirate raids. You still "need" the pirates flying about ... what happens when they intercept a ship? You'd still need some kind of distress call or something (some gameplay interruption) to explain why that Haven ship you were waiting on just disappeared.

Another approach (rather than the "filter" idea) ... would be to keep the system as-is but have the distress call / mission request pop-up give the player option button like "Accept mission" or "Ignore" -- "Accept mission" being the current process (the mission goes in your available missions until it expires) and "Ignore" means you're not interested and the mission is just wiped.
