Station mode needs better logistics
Either I'm missing something, or resource movement on your large station asteroid is very inefficient.

I thought building an asteroid platform or shuttle bay next to mineable/scavengerable resources would mean my crew would load them to that platform for the shuttles to move them the distance in bulk, but instead they're ignoring it and carrying them one by one to the main base.

If you think of the asteroid/station as a "ship" ... the mined/scavenged resources are already "on the ship" and therefore have to be carried by hand. They would only load them on a shuttle to take them to a different "ship" so to speak.

In a ship-based game, ships start small and travel time is limited. By the time you expand to a really large ship ... you generally have the crew/bots to handle the work and deal with the longer travel distances. For station mode, I'm finding it essential to research logistics bots a lot sooner and/or expand the crew a lot faster. There's just too much real estate to cover. I mean, even the "building next door" is an extra 10 "blocks" of travel versus a ship where it's just the "room next door"!

I prefer the logistic bots as they will work 24/7 while crew is shooting or sleeping. Making just one logistics bot ... and then going into the "ships" tab and forbidding it from working on derelicts so it stays "home" ... makes a significant impact.
fun fact, i seen my crew doing exactly what TS wanted to do. got a temporary shuttle landing (this 3x1 stuff) near a pile of resources on my asteroid, and the crew hauled that stuff to the temporary landing, where a shuttle picked it up and moved it to my airlock.
I'd love the ability to recycle them... Even if you just get some scrap pieces.

I'd like the OPTION of cleaning up around me.
like Star mine do that as well, if I make a temp pad for them to carry stuff to on the way after they mine or salvage, they will, and a shuttle comes and shuffles it back to a closer to the base pad and nearer to storage bins.

though you should also be very careful to not deploy an "inside airlock" built out in off-asteroid space areas, unless you plan on keeping it... if you decide to scrap it... you leave debris from the dismantling of hull segments just floating in space, same as you'll find on derelicts and ships you attack, and then, some things cannot be placed over the debris, like cargo forks or airlocks; only more hull can be placed on top of the debris field. this debris never floats away and stays there indefinitely, apparently.

@Kal: recycle what? you can flatten the whole of the asteroid, with either mine or salvage or drill ???
