ehhh... I dunno man, this is why I don't want modular templates for ship design / planning. someone will eventually find a station mode seed where the center is perfect, no holes no rocks no salvage needed to be done, all the "stuff" is on the edges, and will post that as the new "build space king" and people will use that, too.

take the RNG as it comes! can't place your starter base but one location and the barracks starter has to go ~40 tiles away? yeah the RNG is a harsh mistress, ain't she?! :-)
