Crew ignores primary tasks to learn all the time
According to the schedule page, they'll study as a secondary task if no primary tasks are available. But both of my learning computers are used constantly, even when there's plenty of primary tasks to do. And they do have those skills, my researcher is learning instead of researching for example.

Am I doing something wrong, or is the priority of studying set as primary or something? I set all the skills to be learned if they have a work priority of high or more, and I only have the first tier learning computer if those matter. Please fix or explain how to use it properly.

Studying whereas is set as "secondary" actually can act as primary if you set the study priority on high. Until they reach the dayly max for that skill they will keep on studying.

Where do you set the study priority? On the skill rule page it says it's referring to how to filter who to train, and I don't see a priority on the priorites or schedule pages.

Gonna use link of an another thread here, as it has screenshots:

You can see that when you assign a person to learn you can select a few things, among them there is work priority for studying.
It is actually a Work priority >= High. In the thread i posted.
(Skill Rule and Person Rule i know it took me a few moments to figure out how it works when i first engaged with it when it was introduced.)

That's the filter though. It's not setting the work priority, but who should learn the skill based on the priority set on the priorities page. It says that in the upper left. Unless it erroneously also sets the work priority when it shouldn't, which would be a bug.

So ages ago i played with these settings as i wanted to get my folks up in certain skills and it was damn hard to make them learn during their work time.
Work Priority
== Crew members equal to the selected work priority
>= Crew members with a work priority greater than or equal to the selected work priority
<= Crew members with a work priorty lesser than or equal to the selected work priority

If you select this on Highest-> this means that their studying task is the highest priority. No matter all the other tasks they have.
(Exception is console related tasks. Operations, Shielding etc. But even then you need to trigger a higher level at their respective settings. AND NOT PRIORITY.)

This really doesn't seem to be the case at all, they act the same when I set them all to >= lowest as >= high, does that really work for you? And it says on the screen that's the filter.

It'd be nice if the dev (@aksel_bugbyte) could comment.

I actually AGES ago, when the study system was introduced asked this. I might try to look up the discussion.
