Steam deck - Enter Ship doesn't work

I can draft crew, move them around. Attempting to board them on the shuttle, I get the interaction buttons on the shuttle, hit A on Enter Ship. Never works. Any help?

Have you tried docking the shuttle in a different place? You shouldn't be limited to the preconfigured spots. But I don't own the deck.
