The reviews for this 'game' seem too good to be true...
I'm not sure if it's my cynical side coming through, but I feel like people are being fanboys and fangirls over this. People are proclaiming it's one of the best RPG's ever made, when in reality it's just a glorified card game. I sense a lot of under the table money going on... and what's with us not being able to see the negative reviews for the game? Something smells off about CDPR's clout on here...

You're like the anti-fanboy, making up lies instead. Good jorb mate.
To be fair all of the reviews I can read make it look like the person who is reviewing the game didnt bother to research what type of game it was in the first place.

They made two well-regarded 'niche' games and one well-regarded AAA game, and all three of these were aRPGs. This doesn't indicate in any way if this budget turn-based card game will be even remotely good; in fact, it actually indicates the opposite.
I see you're staying true to form.
Wow. Creates a conspiracy theory because OP is too retarded to know how steam reviews work and how to select filters. Amazing.

As a story telling experience, it is an excellent game. Better than I imagined. As anything else, it is just okay. There is nothing wrong with that. Voice acting is amazing, the story was interesting and engaging, and it adds another layer to the Witcher mythos. The game on Normal is quite easy, and I was fine with that as I played it mostly for the story.
If you are a fan of the Witcher series and Gwent, you should play this, If not, and you don't like card games, you should probably stay away. If you are just a troll and hater, then stop wasting our time and search for meaning in your life.

The 41 reviews were done by russian bots! Can't you see it's one big conspiracy? Alt-right at it's best pushing horrible games on us!

It's a piece of crap game is what it is. But don't tell that to the fanboys and girls who are stupidly blind that if you don't hold a candle for CDPR you must be lynched. God I wish they would all fu ck off sprouting their CDPR and GoG nonsense.

A sjw snowflake spotted. Still mad that there are no blacks in medieval fantasy polish lore?
That doesn't make a lot of sense considering CDP-R itself is now "an sjw snowflake" company, at least since Witcher 3:

Keep telling yourself that. They don't have a spine, sure. But I hope for more twitter jokes offending the permanently offended american soyboys.

A lot of reviews with only jokes, zero information and many sheeps giving praise.

You need to watch gameplay to realize what it is - card game is copied from gwent/witcher - take it or leave it , there is moral choices in story which is pretty much a voice acted visual novel, like an audio book, on top of that you have slight upgrade system and resources management - thats what it is - no more, no less. And yes it look clean and clear with good art style. For me its simply overpriced kinds like frostpunk - good game but not top in the genre.
Jung133 Nov 11, 2018 @ 10:36am
wait, I'm confused.. so the original poster hasn't played this game, and believes with absolutely zero evidence that a developer is paying people under the table to make their game look good simply because "everyone raves about them" and "there's already been many witcher games already" ... ? |

"I'm not sure if it's my cynical side coming through" yeah dude, you might wanna reevaluate your situation if you think that's an "if."

The only thing fishy about this game so far is how something clearly well-made (to anyone who has played it) is filled with ridiculously toxic discussions there are. Did 4chan get bored or something?

Great rebuttal.

You keep telling yourself CDP-R isn't exactly what you claim to dislike. Because almost anyone else can see you're wrong.

You are absolutely correct, the reviews are plagued with blind, fanatical fanboyism that refuses to acknowledge this game's HUGE flaws. And I say that as a fan of cdpr and witcher series who has played all the games and read the books of the franchise

It's too good to be true OP. Wait for huge discount, don't let those developer wolves empty your wallet. CRPR/GoG is not what you think.
