Do you think this game will ever be good?
I have this on my wish list but I'm considering removing it and just forgetting it exists. Honestly I thought the first game was alright but never great. Mods helped the first game a lot in my opinion.

Anyway with Paradox running the show and probably one of the most greedy publishers in today's gaming landscape I can't see city skylines 2 ever correcting course. I mean they dropped the right game at the perfect time and that helped a ton with the success of the first game. But this second game is such a disaster I just don't seem them recovering.

What do you think?

ive lost hope after todays patch.

(please don't ban me for speaking my opinion)

it has the potential, but without mods and the good DLCs that cities skylines 1 offered it will remain in the trash can until further notice

CS1 was ass when it first released and look how that game shaped up.

Nope. And anyone who buys into that measly DLC (seriously!?), will never learn. A simple 'drop' to appease the ones who bought 'ultimate', and a poor one @ that. I won't feel sorry for ya, as you must well know how this shower operates by now ;)

...and the president of Paradox was so proud and excited to announce at last year's Year-End that the company broke a revenue record of $2.6billion, while simultaneously acknowledging that there were severe quality issues with "a few of their titles" and that profits always role back into the business (of course, after dividend payouts, executive bonuses, etc)...sooo, allocate some of that joyous money to this team to hire people with strong qualifications and get it back on track, since even though people are angry, upset and disappointed the solution is incredibly simple. All hope isn't lost, but transparency and action is necessary. Nobody wants the game to fail.

Completely depends on your expectations. Some will never like it, they expect perfection. Some are blah, whatever, some are OK with it and hope for future improvements. That would be me, I'm OK with it, I've played it, never crashed, did I want better performance? Sure! But I am OK with it and hope for improvements.

Unfortunately I don't think so.

The simulation still seems very fake. For example, if you remove all external connections, at first you see some small changes in the city, but after a month, not even a population decrease, everything goes back to normal and the city looks like wonderland! In real world, people would be just starving to death because there is simply not enough food to feed everyone!

Even tourists keep coming to town, I believe they teleport themselves... lol

Just sad...

Considering what some have said in this forum are you really that surprised.

A CEO saying something versus some fat random kid in his mom's basement are two different things though lol CEOs are supposed to be professional and carry a certain amount of decorum, whether it's a hot dog company they're leading or Mercedes-Benz. That's not to say "the customer is always right" -- because whoever coined that phrase didn't spend any time with their customers lol...customers most definitely have the ability to be wrong.

That said, interpreting the feedback and understanding the emotions beyond the mere words is a skill someone at that level should've mastered long before taking their seat at the desk. Save the off-the-cuff quips for happy hour and communicate properly like an adult when facing the public.
A true fan will take anything, no matter how badly he was treated :steammocking:

Now keep emptying those pockets for future purchases, thank you wallets.

No it wasn't.
It certainly wasn't as ass as this game is and even with patches, still is and getting worse, as it turns out. They've clearly lost talented staff propping them up, because its all just one big sh* show right now.

Will it ever be good? Depends on if Paradox ever gets their head out of their ass and stops trying to squeeze every last dollar out of their fan base.

They don't hate us Richmuel. They just hate you. LOL. Was just watching Band of Brothers reactions instead of playing this broken game.
