Garbage Processing

Yes garbage, annoying garbage, I really do think it's broken.. No matter what I do I cannot handle it all... I have way above the required for processing, 200+ garbage trucks (that never do anything) and it piles up... Bug or any ideas?

I know my income is marked as negative (another bug) as it keeps going up.

I know what you mean, I'm currently at that point trying to decided if there is an issue or not...

I've increased the processing capacity to x2.5 the amount that is produced each month but it doesn't seem to be going done. Plus I see garbage trucks from the outside connections taking garbage away that is waiting to be collected due to the backlog.

I'm using the incinerator plants to process the garage with a landfill next to them to try and clear the backlog so wondering if maybe the incinerators are not emptying the set amount each month....

Also just noticed that both the train cargo terminal and the cargo harbor both have 222t of garbage in them. Surely it's not importing garbage as well.....

Might try disabling both and see if it helps or track the tucks going to and from the buildings

Did you upgrade any of those buildings instead of spamming more?

What would really help on the 'Garbage Management' info display would be the 'Total Garbage In City' so you could see how much is in all facilities and waiting to be collected so you know if you are getting down the backlog

Strangely, I had the opposite problem. I closed my only landfill because no matter how big my city gets no one needs garbage services. I've heard people say they start a new city and the bug isn't there, so maybe your city has a garbage bug? Are other cities your building having the same trash problems?

Garbage maths starts to catch up in the later game, its impossible to have enough money to deal with all the garbage, infact I'm pretty sure at the rations provided for processing only 3 garbage trucks PER MONTH can leave a incinerator camp. thats insanely small, you would need 10's or not 100's to service the industrial areas and high dense buildings. my budget currently is not enough to deal with the issue because it cannot remove the garbage in storage fast enough, it is impossible mathematically to beat it, you can only delay the inevitable. https://i.imgur.com/ABlwY2n.png

I can confirm garbage is bugged. They just fill instantly and the trucks do not get deployed

Once it is full the trucks won't deploy until there is space again. I think that's correct.

The question is more, is the garbage being processed at the correct speed

Has anyone noticed that the processing speed of the incinerator seems to drop when it's not full of garbage. When it had 150t of garbage it was processing it at about 80t a month (boosted by efficiency from the standard 65t) but now I've only 50t of garbage the processing speed has dropped to 52t per month. It should be going at full speed until it runs out of garbage....
