Experimentals
Hi! Is there a way to remove experimentals from the game? Maybe somebody knows a mod or how to make such mod?

In FAF[www.faforever.com] you can restrict the available units.[forums.faforever.com]

You can even do mission co-op for SC and SC:FA. Have a look at my FAQ and my getting started guide.

But they are the most fu in the game!

@germanicianus: thx, tried it and it works fine. But why does it consume more CPU than basic game?
@Stylistic Sagittarius [NL]: they break the game. You build defences carefully, build up your economy, try to counter enemy with different units and then you loose just cause he managed to build some stupid Very Big Gun faster.

FAF should not run slower than normal SC:FA. FAF should even be more performant. See also this thread.

More CPU load is caused by more units and more AIs. Your game settings could have been different.

FAF has less performance issues. Build a load of bricks in regular FA and notice the slowdowns when you zoom in. Or a flock of T3 gunships. FAF does not seem to suffer from it, or it is at least much less noticable.
You also have restrictions in regular FA though, might need to mod in the exclusion of experimentals yourself though.

You can deactivate the Experimentals in the vanilla-game. At least for me, I have several settings, including deactivation for experimentals. There are also several build-in-mods available (like 2x resource-rate - my favorite - )

Be careful though: there are also impossible combinations possible. (like no level 2, but level 3-units. which is impossible, because you first need to upgrade to level 2 before you can reach level 3...)

Sounds like you simply like to hide in your base too much and not attack, if you lose because your opponent is allowed to build an experimental artillery :P

+1
It's not a tower defence game and turtling without scouting (and without acting to stop making nukes/experimentals) can be punished
