Very bad clone of Robokill. Developers should release the book "How to Make a Worst Game."

1. Permanent jams in colliders.
2. Terrible control, because of which traps cannot be passed without damage.
3. No upgradings - only a change of the primary and secondary weapons, which are called weapon mk1, weapon mk2 ...
4. No recoil and impact from shooting.
5. No saving.
6. No sighting crosshair.
7. Unbalanced drop from enemies. Either ten room
full reloads, then without a first-aid kit you walk the half of level.
8. It can be completed in an hour and a half.
9. Ragequit at 70% completion.
10. Even with -90% you do not need to buy.

Mech Rage is a very basic top down shooter, that is overall full of flaws that did not allow me to enjoy it very much.
Mechanically the controls are pretty clunky and a it is a bit to play odd sometimes, the levels/rooms design is repeatable and in a couple of hours of playing I saw 5 or 6 different types of enemies (maybe?).
Regarding to the sound effect they are boring and annoying, especially on the game menu with an armful sharpening sound piercing through my ears every time.
Last but not least the graphics are pretty basic and, as I mentioned before, the models repetitive.

But despite all that, my main concern is the price, at the time of this review £7.19 here in UK, you can get some AAA games in a promotion for that price. I'm not here to discuss business models, I am just concerned because I don't see content that is worth that money.

Nothing wrong with a nice, simple roguelike now and again, and that's what this game is. Simple and fun. Play as a mech driver defeating hostile aliens that are really sentient robots, but splitting hairs. Mech Rage wants the player to use strategy and tactics more than run and gun, spray and pray tactics that even I'm more accustomed to doing. Rewards for solving puzzles are mech upgrades to help the player in later levels. It's a solid, fun game that may be basic to many, but offers replayability and simple, plain fun.

Pretty fun little twin stick shooter, just keep in mind it's a bit slower paced than usual games of the genre.

You can upgrade you main and sub weapons buy using the in game currency. And you can upgrade your shields, speed, dashes and firepower buy finding blue orbs scattered about.

My only gripes theres no sound indicating you are being hit (vibration would help here too), some enemy bullets tear through your life bar like butter, chat boxes pause the action and some of the dialog is cringey.

Still a fun game and worth picking up if you like the genre. I played through on normal difficulty, then switched to easy and blasted through and felt like a badasss.

Very fun top down shooter. The controls are a bit quirky, but nothing bad. This is a game were you must plan your strategy, use the dash, get to know your angles, so you won't get shoot and can blister the inline little hordes, before proceeding to kill big guys in a room.
Your weakling little mech with a pellet gun will become stronger with upgrades. Buy stuff between levels. You won't become devourer of worlds, just by upgrading and brute force though, you must git gud.
Yes, the mech movement could be a little bit faster, but never forget the dash...

The game is honestly not that great design-wise. The difficulty balance is quite erratic, the game lacks some basic functionality such as keybind remapping, saving mid-level, or even accessing any settings during a level. The dialogue is cheesy (although admittedly, it has its funny moments). But in the end, I did have fun playing it, and isn't that what counts? I definitely wouldn't pay the full price for it, but it's not a bad way to spend a boring Saturday afternoon.

Was looking for something similar to Robokill. Loved the game! Can only wish there were more levels.

This game is a study in bad game design. I wish I didn't play it; Every moment spent playing was, ironically, RAGE inducing.

Bad balance, bad movement and collisions, no sound or shoot/kill/hit feedback, bad aiming, no crosshair, baffling tutorial.

Basically it feels like a college final project more than a polished game. It's functional, but it doesn't feel balanced, nothing reacts with impact, and everything in general just feels...undeveloped. Even at $0.99 it just wasn't worth it.
