It also seems that only the d3dcompiler_47.dll from other steam games work, tried it with the d3dcompiler_47.dll from EA Origin and it gave me the LeaveCriticalSection win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll error.

I found that DLL in another game's folder and copied it to the Yakuza folder, which fixed it.

Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Edition but you can probably find it in other directories too. I hear updating DirectX9 should help as well.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I don't have the game yet but reading the board, but for people with D3Dcompiler_47.dll problem, it's a common one with some games and it come from a windows "problem".

You might check this link to download the required update (Windows 7 and 8) : https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=4019990 (Update for the d3dcompiler_47.dll component on Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2)

It should fix the problem.

Oh how happy I'll be when Windows 7 support officially ends :)

You don't know the half of the trouble developers go through to make our software sort of work on Windows 7. It's pretty clear QLOC's grown tired of it and isn't even trying. I have to do all sorts of stuff to load older DLLs and disable useful features I'd like to be using in my software just to maintain Windows 7 compatibility, it's exhausting :-\

Windows 7 should not even be in requirements for any new game

Windows 8 is a perfectly viable operating system. Pretty much all of the important improvements that Windows 10 has are from Windows 8.

Windows 7 is unfortunately just a service pack for Windows Vista that Microsoft thought would be funny to sell as a standalone product. They grew tired of their joke a long time ago and haven't supported the platform in years and years.
