Do they ever explain why Chocola and Vanilla were abandoned
From the main Nekopara story, we know that,as kittens, Chocola and Vanilla were found in a box left on a curbside like so much garbage. Do they explain or even hint at why they were abandoned?

I think they were abandoned due to society regarding catgirls. Vol.1 pretty much says that catgirls end up getting abandoned because people who own them either can't afford to care for them, or just due to outright neglect. I'll admit, I'm extrapolating a lot from the tone and the words, but abandonment usually occurs due to those reasons. It could also have been that their owner had no choice and knew that they'd be in better hands. Who knows.

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised they haven't tackled it head on yet. It would be rather interesting to meet their previous "owner". Then have a confrontation eitheer involving them trying to get them back, then the owner more or less accepting it and giving closure to the situation. Or finding out that they were just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ person who just wanted catgirls because potatoes, then just abandoned them.

I kind of like how they just left it open ended. They hinted at a number of reasons as to why it could have happened. Sometimes it seems like games try to solve everything and it is more true to life that sometimes things just happen and you never know the why or the how.
