Can you swap between the characters?

Hi everyone, I am a little stressed being chased round and round by the Tyrant playing as Leon. Can I stop playing that character and swap to the female character for a while without losing my saves as Leon. I am playing the first run as Leon.

You can't, because it doesn't make any sense. If you wish to play another character, your only option is to start new game.

Or maybe I just didn't understand your question.

You can but it's better to play the other character after you complete the game because it unlocks "2nd run" which changes things around a little, otherwise many things are the exact same for both characters. Though each character has things exclusive to them even on a first run.

Claire is easier in this regard. She makes less noise and her model is smaller, so she can squeeze past easier.

Thanks everyone for your quick replies. To yodel Daddy it was me not explaining properly. I meant start from scratch with Claire and go back to Leon when my dodgy 'ticker' has calmed down a bit. All the best the old git.

There's like 20 save slots, so just use a new save slot.
Oh but you have to make a manual save with the typewriter. If you've been going only by autosaves, then yes that will be overwritten.

OP. Do everything you need before using the Ladder as Leon on the roof. If you do this the remainder you have left before Mr. X vanishes will be only a few minutes of playtime and he will be gone again. Same for Claire. In B run (2nd run) just avoid the Stars Office to (same as ladder) until ready and later on the roof ladder again. Mr. X can appear at other points later for scripted brief periods of time but they are so short it doesn't even matter (even shorter than the first time).

In the B/2nd Run scenario, if you're not worried about time, then get everything done that you can before the STARS office, yes. However if trying to get S+ 2nd Run, I'd say kill the zombies in the library and the main hall, then when you get the battery for the detonator, as soon as you exit the STARS office, turn right and run back down from the way you came, and book it to the 3f storage room(Maiden statue). Set off the bomb, fix the shelf back before getting the medal, knife the hanging zombie's hands off so he can't grab you, get the medal run AT the licker(he'll jump past you), book it to the library, book it to the unicorn medal, book it to the main hall, get the lion medal, put all 3 in the goddess statue at once. Usually Mr. X will lose you quickly after the STARS office, and he'll typically search downstairs before going upstairs. If needed, use a flashbang in the 3f storage room if he shows up.

only game ive ever known to do this is RE Zero... but that other character will die lol
