On top of that it synergizes with the other areas of the game that have lithium above ground. It makes those areas feel allot more important, even though they are further away and contain some extremely hostile fauna.
I will totally agree though that it is way too small for what it is. Needs a serious expansion.
I would like to see it turned into a squid shark nest (That would explain why there are squid sharks down there.) And if it was a squid shark nest the devs could add a large tunnel system to it that would lead you out to whatever "Above ground" area the squid sharks spawn in.
That would make it feel like a cohesive part of subnautica's ecosystem.
In order to squeeze the truck into that area you need the depth module, and what is the purpose of bringing it into a small dead end? There really is no purpose for the devs to have it or make you use it. The resources and tech don't justify this deep, cramped dead end.
It lacks rhyme and reason. As another poster has stated, it needs expansion! There are many aspects of BZ that remain "cobbled" into the game play.
As the game stands after this last update, (Aug. 2020) it has all the necessary ingredients to be great. However, it seems that different parts are held together with bailing wire and a prayer that no one will notice.
The deep twisty bridges have their own fascinating lure for me, and I like to go there to appreciate it. I spent almost an hour yesterday just driving my sea truck around it. And if you ignore the squidshark it's a surprisingly peaceful environment.
100% agree; deep twisty bridges is both creepy and pretty - the two things that subnautica does best to my mind. The biome needs more love.
