Hey! I hear Greenland is for sale. OP should look into buying it.

They do something like this every year for the ocean. Since plastic is found even at the bottom of the Marianas Trench, this is a much needed drive.

I so agree with you! But sadly they thrive on drama and just moving on does not give them the insult slinging, attack those who disagree with their opinions, drama.

So it is just better to ignore them not giving them the "drama" "attention" they grave.

Move on players who enjoy Subnautica! Nothing to see here! :steamhappy:

So....Why are you here? Trolling for drama?

It is still there in stable. She jumped me today.

Heh. As often as not there will be 2 close by most of the time. Don't let them get too close and you should be fine.

In topic Which Subnautica do you prefer?
BZ will probably be the better game but I like Subnautica's warm climate much better than the arctic cold of BZ.

In topic Tips Finding Seamoth Fragments
Seamoth parts are all around the shallows and can easily be found just by swimming out looking for silver. I get one fast enough that I have no place to park it.

In topic The game seems to be chaotic
Sorry, but these comments are not helpful.

I could use 56 more neuromods as It is a human only run because of no neuromods to complete any trees.
Also I'm always out of ammo. And no weapon has been fully upgraded. Doors and safes are still locked because of no upgrades.
I'm always just running and hiding because fighting really isn't an option. It's like I'm always behind and trying to catch up. Assassins creed: Odyssey is like this too. I finally just quit it and have never touched it since.
I remembered this thread in my last session and when returning to base stopped and took a screenie when I first spotted the windows of the 4 story main building. It was around 712 meters out in stable.

Compared to other games. And if you want to look at other threads where ncrapia users are complaining about poor performance, you would know that it is not an issue with the gpu.

But that would not fit in with your agenda.

How much later in the game does one become a powerhouse? I took out Dahl last night and am really looking forward to not struggling and scraping by and dying constantly.

Sounds very proactive. You don't have to thermal throttle if you cut voltage right off the bat, and don't even use the GPU! Why doesn't everyone do this?

Oh yeah...cause it's dumb.

Again, you don't know what you are talking about. Your ignorance is on full display once again.

The gpu comes overvolted stock so undervolting makes it run more efficiently. Even if nothing else is touched everyone with one of these should do it.
It's funny you didn't mention the +50 power draw limit. This combined with the undervolt gives it a very progressive power curve in the 25w-320w range. In Subnautica it runs at the low end and in Below Zero it runs at the top end.

Wow. The thermal throttling is even worse than I thought! Thanks for pointing it out.

@Dirty Dan: I don't know how this V64 compares to others. It is currently running at 1660 on the gpu but has overshot to 1690 at times in other games.
1100 on the ram but I will be trying higher clocks later. With older drivers it was barely stable at 1000.
+50 power and -80 undervolt. Currently on 19.4.2 drivers.

Also, in the Subnautica folder if one is willing to tinker a bit there is this thingy called highjson and if one bumps up some numbers the game looks much better but it kills fps. By 20-30fps. But I like it.

ftfy

Your ignorance is only exceeded by your ego. Look in the lower left hand corner to see the temps and fps with air cooling.

To OP: I recently got a big bump in performance by:
1. Updating to win10 1903
2. installing the latest AMD chipset drivers for the motherboard
3. Installing the latest drivers.

This all has to be done as a package to work, and the chipset drivers made the biggest difference.
I have a Vega 64 also and it doesn't do so well in Subnautica. The reason seems to be its very advanced power saving plan. It is always making it downclock when it shouldn't in Subnautica.
It rocks in other games but not this one. I got better fps in Subnautica with a weaker Fury just because it always ran at 100% because it had the "dumb" power saving plan.
But still, the only time I see 25 fps is in experimental. In stable the fps never gets that low @ 1440P.
The first time is always the best time.

It's a good bet that you have not explored all the map and there are still things to do. I stay occupied by building small bases all over the place close enough to swim or seaglide to.
I've killed the nightmare 2 times and evaded it 4 times so far. All human needles and on easy.

In topic Is Prey worth 6 bucks?
I've given up on the hacking minigame and only do level 1. So anything behind them is gone.

I have over a dozen side quests open and have given up on completing most of them. The target shows up until I get close, disappears, and then later reappears behind me. I spend most of my time running around in circles.

Ammo. Early on I was making ammo and had plenty. Then later I started making health kits as I was taking a lot of damage and now have little ammo and cycle through the weapons as they go empty. As a consequence the wrench is the most used weapon and stealth and running are my first choice.

I like Aliens:Isolation and play it on normal. I was hoping this game would be similar but it sems to be just another fps.
