Minor gripe I know. Just wanted to know if there was a reason why.
It was deemed unnecessary and cut from the roadmap (tho the Radiation Suit and Reinforced Dive Suit both come with built-in gloves).
Agree it makes more sense in the cold environment but I think you can rationalize it as another reason your character would want to craft a Cold Suit a.s.a.p.
Being cut off from the first base by the avalanche, she may not have been planning on spending very much time out in the cold when she left the base - and certainly didn't plan on having to go swimming.
I've spawned the Cold Suit in before the last update - the cold effects were… getting a bit too dramatic.l
You still get the frost around the edge of your mask, but not the pounding heartbeat.
Hopefully you can find it properly before too long.
