No, it shouldn't. Especially for a game that continues to sell really well. There are older games with lower discounts and there's no hard rule for how much they need to discount a game based on time. All of it is your own arbitrary appreciation of it.
Don't expect it to get any lower ever either. Take the 50% or leave it. Publishers don't read these forums and they won't increase the discount over complains they don't even know exist. Doubly true for Activision.
Did you get Cyberpunk or God of War at 65% off?
(LOL CP2077 50% off, and GoW at 40% atm. "Good luck with good sales" am I right?)
Or stop being a cheapbutt and buy good quality games for what they're worth.
If you cannot afford an extra 15% on a game then you have bigger problems in life to worry about..
No, the reason it sits at 60 USD is because almost every single game stays at MSRP unless it is on a sale. This is true for indies, mid level publishers and AAA publishers alike.
I don't know where anyone gets this idea that publishers HAVE to undercut themselves by reducing the normal pricing of a regularly selling product outside of sales. That's not a thing. It very RARELY happens on Steam and primarily for games that have been out for over half a decade or those terribly under-selling. Both instances in which makes some financial sense to lower the base price outside of sales. And on any other digital storefront is even less common of a thing.
I hold no love for Activision, but I sure as hell ain’t throwing ♥♥♥♥ at them for something that EVERY PUBLISHER DOES!
Yes, those games I bought at a smaller discount. Because they are much longer and it was just worth it. Sekrio I won't buy on principle because of the publisher's greed, not because I can't afford it.
Merry Christmas.
My man, your purchase decisions are your problem and no one else’s. You don't need to justify ♥♥♥♥ to anyone.
Merry Christmas to you and yours as well! Genuinely.
