It’s basically abusing iframe .. your dodge have iframe like Dark Souls .. but a lot lower .. still can abuse like this ... just need correct timing . Timing is when his hand starting to move .. you can watch again .
i see now, thats a good video i like how you took it nice and slow and hit all your counters. Gonna try that approach
Glad to help ! Hope u can beat him in this day :)
Your posture recovery seems a bit too high even tho you arent guarding..
You can get all beads in Immortal Severance as long as you got the second bell early enough. Nothing will lock you out of the Immortal Severance ending other than the Shura ending.
It's not shown in that video, but both of Genichiro's opening attacks can be easily dodged by just sprinting behind him and starting to attack him. Sometimes he won't even use the second if you do this. There's no reason aside from flash to iframe them as you get two free hits per attack either way.
Also, you can parry Isshin's Ashina Cross and huge charged swings to take no damage (blocking takes chip damage) and inflict large amounts of posture damage to him if you do so, though the charged swings will knock you back so I'm not sure if you come out ahead of iframing them and having more time to punish. You can't parry the lightning charged swings, obviously.
Of course, even if you had double the attack power if you don't know how to defend and survive against these bosses due to a lack of a certain degree of skill then it wont help you as you will simply get destroyed against certain bosses so you aren't entirely off.
Isshin and Demon of Hatred are each about 4-7 mins. If you are taking much longer your doing something very wrong and massively boosting your chance of fatal errors.
dont master it actually but Phase one, at the cross skill u can stay close, parry 1 rst hit and jump for the down hit then counter jump for down his posture more faster .
At P3 jump when u see he jump with lightning and reverse it give damage and down his posture really much.
Second phase gives much more opportunity to attack. Once he leaps to you with spear, you can dodge and do several hits on him (although you might want to back up pretty quickly to not get hit by a counter). Also, he has some combos, which end up with thrust attack, which can be countered by Mikiri. Be ready to deflect his gun constantly during this phase.
Third phase is similar to second, but he has some air blades (can be evaded by sprinting backsides), also few lightning attacks (if you are good with catching those, they deal a LOTS of damage to him).
It might take several (hours of) tries, but you can definitely learn most of his moves, and learn how to counter-react.
When he gets the spear out, I start messing up. Hard to keep pressure on him. I think the last phases, let him come to you and be ready to chip away.
In his sword phase, he mostly does a 4 hit combo after he deflects you. Parry the first 2 hits and then go face until he deflects again. Sometimes he will shoulder push into thrust. Do mikiri counter then go in his face and keep hitting him (if you have double ichimonji do that for more posture damage). If he steps back and sheathes his sword to do an Ashina Cross, again move in his face, parry the first attack, double jump over the second because it's a sweep, then go face. If he's going for double ichimonji, dodge into his right side and go face (if you parry the ichimonji he'll do the wind attack that's pretty hard to i-frame up close and if you block it he'll pretty much destroy your posture).
Second phase keep harassing him but watch out for that move when he jumps back and hits you with the spear (kinda lika corrupted monk). Sometimes he will follow that into the repeater gun (deflect bullets) then into a thrust (or a sweep) so get your counter ready. When he leaps at you make sure you dodge behind him because if you block or run away he can follow up with a 2 hit sword combo that's pretty fast.
Third phase he has lightning so Jump + RB to throw it back at his face (you can also i-frame it with a dodge). He has a two projectile wind attack that's pretty easy to dodge. Same strats as phase 2.
well there's nothing i can do about it now so i don't know what you're getting at
