Unlocked FPS - Does it change the combat?
Hello there,

Does the fps unlock mod change the combat? I remember in the Dark Souls games, there is a difference between 30 and 60 fps. The parry and jump frames changes. So, how about sekiro? Any experiences? :burnstatus:

Yeah, it makes it look better.

i recommend to not unlock above 60fps, because that can effect the game speed and causes gamebreaking bugs. This game (engine) is not made for higher fps than 60.

I've been playing at 72 FPS the entire time, it doesn't break anything.

It does not change or mod the combat. If you have a monitor with a high refresh rate it make the game significantly better. I played the entire game at near or at 144 fps. Additionally, the mod I used let me increase the fov which was also very nice.

You have judder at any framerate below ~1000 FPS on an LCD, so yes.

I wonder what your problem with high fps is, it sounds like you don't want that people use their technology to the full potential

i dont have a problem with anything, i mean ... its just a fking singleplayer and not a ego shooter call of duty crap where you need perfect reactions. In sekiro you need reaction too for parry and stuff but 60fps is way enough. Consol players had never above 60fps and they're mostly better players than pc gamers in the true sad facts x'D

Then why are a majority of esports played on pc

If you can't tell the difference between framerates higher than 60, that's fantastic. Some people can and its got very little to do with reaction time.

On a fixed-refresh display, 120 Hz gives 2x as many opportunities to smooth out any framerate fluctuations and return to normal 60 FPS. You can be 8 ms late rather than 16 ms.
