What does it do? How does it work?

after you finish the game with one char
you can make a new one and get everything from the old one
so you don't have to grind again
new game + basically as one char can only join one of the three faction

you don't get everything from the old one do u? i know there are 4 legacy chests u can access.
You can only pass down at most 4 weapons and you have to get them from the same chest.

Legacy chests are kind of a joke in the first place other than actually passing down faction exclusive things like the lantern of souls. The fact that most of them are basically endgame tier to get to, coupled with the fact the other character has to make it to the chest to get the item out is just laughable when you can only transfer over 4 items at most.

it wouldn't be as bad if they left it in so u could transfer non class passives via this legacy system. also the chest in cisro isn't too hard to get to as the 3 warlords quest comes up early and can be delt with before mid game.

honestly u shouldn't have to get to them in the first place, they should be hard to get to for the first time and automaticly give those skills to the legacy character you're making.

That is honestly a good idea, letting you slowly but surely learn all passives and higher up things in coming generations.

Basically when you get those endgame items in the 4 chests, you are already completed the game..

no it wouldn't let u get all passives, that's a bit silly just only the ability to pass on 4.

So, do you keep all the skills you've learned with the legacy system? Stuff you get from trainers?

All legacy does is when you open the legacy chest son the new character you can get the items you put in it. Which is completely pointless unless you are passing on items only obtainable from the faction quests but even then you can just split screen and give the new character whatever you want.

basically what robruckus said. i was suggesting how they could make the legacy system worth while again because in it's current state it's not worth using at all.

Would be nice if the legacy chests actually caused the items to appear in your home chest in a new-game. For now, just splitscreen to drop them in.

My big question is can we still play the original character if we make a legacy? I want to keep my original character and go back to them cause I'm planning on a different build for me legacy.
