Can't play with controller, it keeps spawning split-screen multiplayer

I'm using a Dualshock 4 Sony controller. I tried a campaign thing and it said no multiplayer, but then It gave me one anyways. After the player 2 crashed, the game soft lock looped and would not let me do anything, So I had to ALT + F4 to quit out.
